Canarian Ginger Bread
Ooh, this delightful spicy northern winter cake! Now available vegan!
INGREDIENTS
400 grams rolled oats (you can also buy oat flour)
325 ml milk
4 tbsp of palm syrup
6 tbsp agave
2 tbsp of corn starch
2 tbsp gingerbread spices (they sell them at lidl over christmas) or cinnamon or make your own mix
2 tsp baking powder
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 180°C .
Place the oats in a blender or food processor and process until finely ground. Blend for at least a minute or two.
In a large bowl, combine the milk with the corn starch, palm syrup, and agave.
Stir the peperkoek spices and baking powder into the oatmeal. Add this mixture to the milk and stir well.
Place in rectangular baking pan lined with baking paper and bake in the center of the oven for approximately 55 minutes.
