Granola
The perfect crunchy start to the morning. It is wildly easy to make, and infinitely better than dealing with store-bought mediocrity.
ingredients
500 gr of oats
15 tbsp of agave — agave syrup is perfect if you are looking for something light and neutral to add to your baked goods.
12 tbsp of sunflower oil
3 tbsp of cinnamon — this will give the dish a cosy, autumn/winter vibe.
3 tbsp of puffed rice
3 tbsp of puffed quinoa
2 tbsp of chia
Nuts and seeds to your liking — Scruffy usually uses a cup of nuts with a mix of cashews, almonds, and hazelnuts. But feel free to let your imagination run freely.
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 180∘C.
Grab a baking tray and spread out the oats.
Add the sunflower oil, agave, and cinnamon. Grab a spoon and mix well until your oats are beautifully coated.
Put the tray in the oven for 20 minutes. While you wait, recite five things you're grateful for. Or not.
Take the tray out of the oven (but keep the oven going!) and mix in the puffed rice, puffed quinoa, chia, and your nuts and seeds.
Put the tray in the oven again for 10 more minutes to get that perfect golden brown crunch.
Let the granola cool down completely in the oven.
Store your scruffy - eeurrr - crunchy creation in an airtight container and devour it whenever those sweet cravings hit!
